-IJU, TUWJ Minister to delegation Ponguleti’s assurance
State Revenue, Information and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has assured the delegation of IJU and TUWJ that a high-level meeting will be arranged with the relevant officials one day after January 15 regarding the housing and welfare measures of journalists.
On Thursday evening, IJU President K. Srinivas Reddy, TUWJ State General Secretary K. Virahat Alila, IJU Secretary Y. Narender Reddy, TUWJ Vice President K Rannarayana met and discussed the measures for the welfare of journalists.On this occasion, Minister Srinivas Reddy said that the memos and memos issued by the previous governments regarding the houses of journalists should be collected, as well as the details of the places given by them, the details of the places that have not been acquired, and the reports specifically mentioning the suitable places to be given in the futureThe minister informed the delegation that orders have been issued to the collectors of 33 districts of the state to send them. On this occasion, the delegation brought to the notice of the Minister that there are a large number of journalists in the District Centers, Mandal Centers as well as in the state capital, Hyderabad, as they have not been given house plots for the past two decades. Apart from these, IJU President K. Srinivas Reddy mentioned the matter of Jawahar Lal Nehru Journalists’ Housing Society, which has been unresolved for a long time, and the Minister assured that the matter has come to his attention and that he will discuss it with the Chief Minister and find a proper solution.
He said that his government is committed to the journalists’ shelters and other welfare measures and will make a policy statement on the journalists’ welfare measures.
